These Terms govern your use of the Pauza app and the pauza.ai website. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you don't agree — don't use Pauza.
TL;DR — use Pauza for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don't cheat, don't abuse it, don't try to game the token system. If you stake real money, losses go to charity you selected upfront. No refunds on tokens spent. We can change the service, but we'll tell you first.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("user", "you") and A24Z LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company registration details available on request), whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Pauza", "we", "us", "our").
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some EEA countries) to use Pauza. If you're under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian. If you place real-money challenge stakes, you must be 18 or older and resident in a jurisdiction where doing so is legal.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your Apple ID (used for Sign in with Apple) secure. Tell us straight away at info@pauza.ai if you think your account has been compromised.
One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to farm referral bonuses, tokens, or challenge wins is not allowed and will get all connected accounts suspended.
You can optionally stake real money (e.g. $5, $20, $100) when creating a challenge. The following applies:

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, and forfeit associated token balances.
Pauza, the Aura designs, the token system, the UI, and all code are owned by A24Z LTD and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website as intended. Content you submit (challenge messages, journal entries, profile info) remains yours; you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it as needed to run the service.
Pauza integrates with Apple (Screen Time, HealthKit, StoreKit, Sign in with Apple), Stripe, Google Firebase, and charities you choose. Their terms apply in parallel. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third parties, though we'll do our reasonable best to keep integrations working.
We may add, modify, or remove features. We'll notify you of material changes (especially changes affecting tokens, PRO, or charges) at least 14 days in advance via in-app notice or email. We may also need to perform maintenance that briefly interrupts service.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your licence to use Pauza ends; any tokens in your balance are forfeited; statutory refund rights (where applicable) are unaffected.
Pauza is provided "as is". We don't guarantee it will eliminate your screen time, fix your attention span, or be uninterrupted or error-free. We make no medical claims. If phone use is seriously impacting your wellbeing, please speak to a qualified professional — Pauza is not a substitute for healthcare.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything that UK law does not permit us to limit.
Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or related to the service in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in that period, or £50 — whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses (including lost data, lost profits, or lost tokens).
If someone brings a claim against us because of your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of Pauza, you'll cover our reasonable costs of defending it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except that if you are a consumer resident in another country, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence.
Before going to court, please try to resolve any dispute by emailing info@pauza.ai. We'll do our best to sort it quickly.
If any clause of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor if our company is sold or restructured (notice will be given).
